Trusted Experience Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in policy enforcement, content operations, content moderation, policy creation, program management, operations management, process design, risk, account security, compliance, or consulting.
  • 3 years of experience in a risk, compliance, account integrity, or trust and safety role.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in content moderation/security policies, customer support/help center, or managing and building similar high-volume outsourced operations.
  • Experience in data analysis, process design/improvement, launch/incubation, product/internal tools launches, or other operational program management.
  • Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely with cross-regional and cross-functional teams including Business, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Operations.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex policy principles and guidelines for technical products to multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders or partners.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As a Trusted Experience Manager, you will design, run, and continually improve processes to deliver operational excellence and support the rapidly-expanding Google Play Apps and Games business. Our focus areas include launch readiness management, stakeholder management, operational program management, and process excellence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$234,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Strategize and build next-generation of teams, systems, and operational workflows to meet the demands of billions of Play users.
  • Manage large-scale content operations workflow for Play and Android Enforcement Operations. Support Google Play-wide policy launches and trust and safety initiatives to ensure a safe app experience.
  • Lead root cause analysis to identify operational gaps and work with Process Excellence, Engineering, Product and Tools to optimize our workflows.
  • Launch new centers, scale existing ones, and build novel solutions to keep our users safe; international travel and off-hours coverage rotations occur occasionally.
  • Review or be exposed to sensitive or violative content as part of the core role. Participate in on call to manage high priority escalations.
